TicketsCINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati infielder Ryan Nicholson and pitcher Conner Linn collected Perfect Game Preseason All-Conference Team accolades on Friday.
Nicholson, a 2022 All-AAC Second Team selection, played in 52 games with 51 starts at first base last season. He hit .277 (53-for-191) with 12 doubles, 12 home runs and 40 RBI. He was named to the American's Preseason All-Conference Team last month.
Linn, a junior from Kokomo, Ind., will head the rotation, following a solid first full year of starting in 2022. He finished the season with a 4-2 record and a 4.07 ERA. He was first on the team in ERA (4.07), third in starts (10) and fourth in innings pitched (48.2) and strikeouts (38). He pitched at least six innings in five of his 10 starts.
The Bearcats open the 2023 campaign with a four-game series against Georgia State on Feb. 17-19 in Atlanta, GA.
