CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati men's and women's track and field teams will travel to Clemson, S.C., to compete in the Bob Pollock Invitational this weekend.

The Bob Pollock Invitational is hosted by Clemson and will be held inside the Clemson University Indoor Complex. The meet will begin Friday, Jan. 27, with the multi-events beginning at 9 a.m. Running events will start at 12:30 p.m., followed by field events at 2:00 p.m.
The meet will conclude on Saturday, Jan. 28, as multi-event will start at 9 a.m., followed by field events starting at 10 a.m., and the running events beginning at noon. A complete schedule of events and start times can be found here.

// BEARCATS IN THE RANKINGS
Cincinnati has five student-athletes with marks or times ranked inside the top-20 nationally, and 23 top-5 times or marks in the American Athletic Conference.
Senior Fred Moudani and junior Giovanni Gutierrez have been a dynamic duo in the weight throw. Both hold the top two marks in UC history, as Moudani's school record throw of 19.57 meters is the eighth-best mark in the nation and first in the American Athletic Conference. Gutierrez's season-best mark of 18.75 meters currently ranks 20th in the nation and second in the AAC.
Sophomore Steven McElroy's 400-meter dash time of 46.76 is the 17th-best time in the nation and first in the AAC.
On the women's side, sophomore Annika Kinley's high jump mark of 1.81 meters ranks 15th in the nation and leads the AAC, while senior Rylee Penn ranks 19th in the nation in the mile with a time of 4:42.36 and also ranks first in the AAC.
In the first edition of the USTFCCA regional rankings, the Cincinnati women rank eighth in the Great Lakes Region, while the Cincinnati men rank ninth.

Last time out, The Bearcats won four events and recorded 11 top-5 finishes at the Gladstein Invitational. Gutierrez dominated the men's shot put with a personal-best mark of 18.75m to win the event. His throw is the second-best mark in program history and is a nationally ranked top-20 mark.
Graduate student Austin Edwards jumped his way into first place in the men's long jump with a mark of 7.28 meters. Edwards's leap is a season-best and is currently the sixth-best mark in the AAC.
Senior Hannah Jackson had a great weekend inside the Gladstein Fieldhouse as she won the women's shot put with a throw of 14.54 meters. Jackson was also the highest-finishing collegiate athlete in the women's weight throw event, as she finished second overall with a mark of 17.86 meters.
Senior Tyler Wirth came in first place in the men's mile as he crossed the finish line with a time of 4:06.18.
