Cincinnati led by as much as 13 in the first half, but Houston gained its first lead since the opening possessions at 3:51 to take a 75-69 victory. The Cougars made several tough, contested shots to go with its home-court advantage in the end. Landers Nolley II scored 24 points (6-10 3FG) as the Bearcats finished with 11 deep balls overall, including 8-for-12 in a 60.7-percent shooting first half. Nolley reached double-figures for the 12th consecutive game as well.
Nolley's 45.5 percent three-point shooting ranks 10th nationally in addition to pacing the AAC. He is also 50.8 percent in league play, with three 20-point games over his last five to go with 1,497 career points. David DeJulius (14 points) also finished one dime away from his second points-assists double-double of the season. He is also up to 972 points as he seeks to become the 55th member of UC's 1,000-point club. Jeremiah Davenport is right behind at 937. With three steals at Houston, 6-foot-11 Viktor Lakhin maintained his team-leads of 26 swipes to go with 29 blocks. His 62.4 percent shooting ranks 13th nationally and second in the AAC.
