The University of Cincinnati women's golf team open its spring season at the Texas State Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 6-7.

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team open its spring season at the Texas State Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 6-7. 
 
The 54-hole event will be hosted at the par-71, 5,981-yard Plum Creek Golf Club in Kyle, Texas. An 8:15 a.m. shotgun start will be utilized for all rounds with the initial 36 holes played on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday. 
 
In addition to Cincinnati, the eight-team field includes host Texas State, IUPUI, Lamar, Southern Illinois, Texas A&M-Commerce, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and UTRGV. Live scoring will be available at Golfstat.com
 
The Bearcats' lineup will feature graduate student Katie Hallinan, junior Sadie Pan, junior Paola Rosario, freshman Brooke Patterson and junior Paighton Masterson. Redshirt sophomore Makenna Jones will be competing as an individual. 
 
Last time out, Cincinnati closed out its fall campaign with a seventh-place finish at The Judson from Oct. 31-Nov.1. The Bearcats recorded a team score of 898, posted a tournament-best 292 in the third round. 
 
Hallinan led the Bearcats in the fall with a 75.67 stroke average. She recorded three top-20 finishes, including a season-best 11th-place finish at the Jennifer Duke Invitational.

Cincinnati will be back in action when the Bearcats travel to compete in the Sea Best Intercollegiate on Feb. 13-14 in Jacksonville, Fla.
