TicketsCINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati Director of Athletics John Cunningham announced the hiring of Trevor Towle on Tuesday. He will serve as the department's Executive Producer for Broadcasting and Production.
A veteran of over 20 years in television production, he will lead all broadcasting, television and live-event production efforts for Cincinnati Athletics, working closely with UC's CCM classes to provide first-class experience and development to students by way of production and broadcast teams.
Towle has produced nearly 1,000 live events, and risen to leadership roles inside ESPN's production management team, including as a mentor to 45 college athletic departments.

"His expertise, his proven knowledge of college campuses and control rooms, and his stellar production record will transform both our overall broadcasts (ESPN+, additional ESPN linear shows, and live streaming), but also our in-venue entertainment. Furthermore, this strengthens our partnership with CCM and adds a valuable resource to students who play an integral role in our broadcasts. Towle has worked full-time at ESPN for the last nine years.
In 2022, he was promoted to Senior Managing Producer and tasked with producing many of the first live linear events out of the American and Big 12 school control rooms as part of ESPN's new partnerships.
Towle began as a staff producer at ESPN in 2014 and was pivotal in the launch of the SEC Network. He produced regular season and post-season events, including NCAA Regionals and Super Regionals.

In 2019, he accepted a role as a managing producer and was a member of the original SEC Control Room Project, which involved producing linear games with students and staff in SEC school control rooms. He was named lead mentor and head of feedback for all 45 schools in the AAC, ACC, Big 12, and the SEC.
Prior to his full-time role at ESPN, Towle spent nine years with the National Hot Rod Association Drag Racing tour and worked in several production roles on the crew. He also worked year-round as a freelance events producer for ESPN on college sports including basketball, softball, and volleyball.
He began his career as an associate producer for Hallbrook Productions in 2002, where he produced national and local commercials, corporate videos and training videos.
In 2004, he produced the documentary "The Last American Roadhouse" which covered the music scene and the aftermath from Hurricane Ivan at the Florabama in Perdido Key, Florida.
Towle is a native of Bellbrook, Ohio and a 2001 graduate of Ohio University where he earned a bachelor's degree in telecommunications.
He and his wife, Sue, have two daughters – Dylan and Jordan.
