TicketsJACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Paola Rosario and Katie Hallinan each earned top-five finishes while the University of Cincinnati women's golf team placed third at the Sea Best Intercollegiate, hosted by Jacksonville University at the San Jose Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla.
"Could not be more proud of the fight this team has put up the last 12 days," said head coach Janet Carl. "Being on the road that long for two tournaments is not easy. We see great progress in the team and their play. We are excited about the future. We have had a lot of personal records set and are ready to get back to work!"
Rosario recorded a season-best score of 218 to finish fourth. She carded a season-low, four-under 68 in the second round. Hallinan carded a two-under 70 in the final round to improve five spots from the opening day to finish fifth (219).
Cincinnati notched its second top-five finish in as many tournaments, finishing third out of 14 teams with a score of 897.
Junior Sadie Pan provided an even-par performance in the final round to finish tied for 26th. Freshman Brooke Patterson (T45th) and junior Paighton Materson (T71st) followed in order.
Sophomore Julia Rabadam, who competed as an individual, placed 58th.
Up next, the Bearcats will take a month-long break before participating in the Clover Cup on March 10-12 in Mesa, Ariz.
