The Bearcats return 10 position players and 10 pitchers from the 2022 roster, including one weekend starter.
Last year, redshirt junior left-handed pitcher Conner Linn appeared in 10 games with 10 starts and finished the year with a 4-2 record. He was first on the team in ERA (4.07), third in starts (10) and fourth in innings pitched (48.2) and strikeouts (38). He worked at least six innings in five of his 10 starts.
Redshirt junior Ryan Nicholson, a Preseason All-AAC selection, played in 52 games with 51 starts at first base last season. He was second on the team in doubles (12), home runs (12) and slugging percentage (.529), third in RBI (40) and fifth in hits (53) and runs (41). He had at least one hit in 36 games and recorded 14 multi-hit games.
Junior outfielder Cole Harting started and played in all but one game last season, batting .313 (67-for-214). He was second on the team in hits (67) and RBI (47), third in home runs (9) and tied for fifth in doubles (9). He garnered American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll recognition three times in 2022.

The American Athletic Conference Tournament will return to Clearwater, Florida (May 23-28) as the Bearcats look to make a post-season run at BayCare Ballpark, spring training home of the Philadelphia Phillies. Cincinnati won the event in 2019.

Ryerson was named Third Team All-America by Collegiate Baseball and the Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year as he led the conference with a school-record 22 home runs in 2022.
