CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati graduate student guard David DeJulius claimed another spot on the AAC's Weekly Honor Roll for his recent performances.
His final-second runner at UCF carried the Bearcats to a huge win, and he averaged 15.5 points and 6.5 assists over UC's two games. It was his second buzzer-beater in as many years, including a put-back off his own miss at ECU last January. DeJulius' 13-game streak of five-plus assists leads the nation, and his 6.79 assists per game in league play leads the AAC. He has scored in double-figures 11-straight games and was also 8-for-8 at the foul line. His 2.88 assist-turnover ratio ranks 16th nationally.
As it stands, he is the first Bearcat to average 5.0 assists per game since Taron Barker in 2002-03. This season, he is also averaging career-bests in shooting (44.1 percent), three-pointers (39.4), free-throws (82.9) and minutes (31.8 per game).
Cincinnati hosts Temple on Wednesday at 7 p.m., its second-to-last home contest.
