TicketsKYLE, Texas – Katie Hallinan claimed second, one stroke from the title, to highlight a second-place finish for the Cincinnati women's golf team at the Texas State Invitational.
Hallinan's career-high-tying score of 213 included even-par 71s in all three rounds. She notched 11 birdies over the two-day invitational and held par on 29 holes.
The Bearcats notched a season-best second-place team finish with a score of 893, two strokes off from their season low.
Juniors Paola Rosario and Sadie Pan each registered season-best finishes, tying for 16th and 20th, respectively. Junior Paighton Masterson saw a 13-spot improvement from the opening day thanks to a season-low 72 in the third and final round. She finished tied for 26th.
Freshman Brooke Patterson (38th) and sophomore Makenna Jones (T39th) followed in order.
Up next, Cincinnati will head to Jacksonville, Fla., to compete in the Sea Best Intercollegiate on Feb. 13-14.
