MESA, Ariz. – The University of Cincinnati women's golf team concluded the Clover Cup on Sunday at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.
Graduate student Katie Hallinan led the Bearcats with her seventh top-25 finish of the season. She tied for 24th in a field that featured five ranked opponents.
"This was a frustrating round from a team standpoint," said head coach Janet Carl. "This team had a great practice round but couldn't execute during the tournament. Katie did a great job of maintaining her composure after a slow start today. We are proud of her and her top 25 finish in such a strong field. There are positives to take away from this event. We don't have many opportunities to play against this caliber of teams often. Each time we play in these types of events, we need to gain more and more confidence. It's time to get home and get some solid work done during spring break before we head out at the end of the month."
Hallinan carded a two-over 74 in the final round for an overall score of 221. She notched a tournament-high two eagles over the three-day tournament.
Junior Paola Rosario recorded a team-high five birdies in the final round to finish 64th. Freshman Brooke Patterson (65th), sophomore Julia Rabadam (66th) and junior Sadie Pan (73rd) followed in order.
Up next, the Bearcats head to Debary, Fla., to compete in the Babs Steffens Invitational on March 27-28.
