TicketsCINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati redshirt junior shortstop Kameron Guidry earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll on Monday.
Guidry batted .316 (6-for-19) with a grand slam, 10 RBI and seven runs scored in five games played. He recorded four multi-RBI performances. This is the first weekly honor of Guidry's career.
He launched his first career grand slam, ripped to left field, in UC's 19-6 win over rival Xavier on Wednesday. It was only the second time ever the Bearcats hit two grand slams in one game, and the first in over two decades. Aaron Moll and Joe List each blasted one in a 17-7 victory at Charlotte on May 3, 2002.
Guidry went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored in Cincinnati's 15-5 run-rule victory over Butler on Saturday. He provided the walk-off sacrifice fly in the eighth inning.
The Bearcats continue their seven-game homestand with a midweek contest against No. 11 Louisville at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at UC Baseball Stadium.
