LAST TIME OUT
Cincinnati snapped a three-game skid to the Owls with a 12-9 victory. Kylie Gioia recorded her second hat trick off the bench, and Ava Goeller added her fifth as they both earned AAC honor roll status. Ashley Lapp's 11 saves were one off a season-high to earn the league's Goalkeeper of the Week award. Temple was 3-for-10 on free-position shots, and it was UC's third game out of the last four allowing single-digit goals. Her 10.10 GAA is second in single-season school history.

ONWARD, BEARCATS
Cincinnati's 9-4 record marks its second-most wins, trailing only the 2019 squad at 12-7, the first year of the AAC. There are four games left in the regular season, including a Wednesday makeup game at Louisville.

SERIES HISTORY
UC is 3-2 against the Pirates, but fell 15-9 in Nippert Stadium on a steamy Senior Day that removed it from tourney contention. Both 2021 meetings were split and by one goal apiece. Cincinnati led 2-0 after the first quarter and 5-4 at the half, boasting a 20-7 shots advantage at one point. These two teams have one mutual opponent this year in Vanderbilt, who the Pirates defeated 15-10 and the Bearcats won 19-6.

SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE
Cincinnati's 13.46 goals-per-game average is third in the AAC, while ECU is second at 13.58. The Bearcats are second in shots on goal per game at 23.46, while the Pirates' Brynn Knight enters seventh and eighth nationally for GAA and save percentage, respectively.

UC is 3-3 on the road, but the last two losses were to No. 8 Florida and No. 19 Michigan.

OFFENSIVE BOOSTS
Camryn Callaghan's two goals against Temple moved her to second in the nation at 46, which is tied for fourth at the school. Kylie Nause's 63 in 2022 is the record. UC, as a team, is enjoying a 6.1 percent jump in shot percentage from last season as well. Goeller has a .500 shot percentage (14 goals, 28 shots) over the last four games, with UC 3-1 in that span and 4-0 on the year when Gioia scores multiple goals.

MLKVY CHASING MLKVY
Dani Mlkvy's 91 draw controls are second in school history, trailing only her sister, Sam, who had 97 in 2019. Her 7.0 per game ranks 11th nationally, and she reached double-digits against Gardner-Webb, Robert Morris and Ohio State (career-high 14). She joins Goeller and senior Morgan Bates as team captains.

Alexis Rich, Sophia Finotti, Kimora Bailey and Grace Hirschmann have also contributed heavily on the defensive end all season as consistent starters.
