Bearcats Complete Opening Round of AAC Championship

The University of Cincinnati women's golf team completed the first round of the American Athletic Conference Championship on Monday at Southern Hills Golf Club in Brooksville, Fla.

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – The University of Cincinnati women's golf team completed the first round of the American Athletic Conference Championship on Monday at Southern Hills Golf Club in Brooksville, Fla.
 
Cincinnati sits in eighth place with an opening round score of 302. SMU currently leads the pack with a team score of 276.

The Bearcats have two student-athletes inside the top 30 on the player leaderboard. Graduate student Katie Hallinan carded a one-over 73 to sit tied for 20th. She notched a team-high three birdies over the 18 holes.
 
Junior Sadie Pan, who sits tied for 30th, was one of three athletes to record an eagle in the first round. She opened the tournament with an eagle on the first hole.   
 
Junior Paola Rosario (T35th), freshman Brooke Patterson (42nd) and sophomore Julia Rabadam (T46th) follow in order for the Bearcats. 
 
Cincinnati will tee off in the second round at 8:42 a.m. on Tuesday.
