THE LEDGER
Fans are encouraged to arrive early as the team honors Tori Accardo, Morgan Bates, Dani Mlkvy, Peyton Mottice and Grace Wehland prior the opening draw.

UC (10-6, 2-3 AAC) can really help its AAC Tournament odds with a win. It is a half-game ahead of Temple and Vanderbilt (both 1-3) for the fourth and final seed, and the two teams face each other on April 29. Goal differentials are used as part of the tie-breaking scenario as well.

HOME COOKIN'
UC is finally back in the Queen City after three-straight road contests.

The Bearcats are 6-1 at home this year, with its only-such loss coming Feb. 19 to Marquette, which is now 14-1 and No. 16 in the RPI (Camryn Callaghan's eight goals against the Golden Eagles tied UC's single-game record). Those wins match the 2013 squad for the second-most in school history, as the 2019 squad went 10-2. Its only defeats that year were to Ohio State (Gettler Stadium) in the opener and No. 18 Florida in the inaugural AAC title game (Sheakley Athletics Center).

This does officially mark the most Nippert Stadium wins in school history, which includes going 1-6 in 2022 and 4-4 in 2021. UC played there only once from 2014-20.

LAST TIME OUT
JMU, winners of 14-straight, scored three times in the first two minutes and led 7-1 after the period and won 17-8. The Bearcats fought back in the second quarter, highlighted by Peyton Mottice's quick tap off Ava Goeller's pass was her first goal of the year, as well as her first shot since having two in back-to-back games against Vanderbilt (March 18) and Butler (March 22).

Freshman Sophia Lymberis notched her first-career goal early in the fourth as she scooped Camryn Callaghan's saved free-position shot and sent it home, in what was also her first attempt of the year, cutting the deficit to 12-7 with 13:52 left before the Dukes ran away late.

SERIES HISTORY
Cincinnati has won all three matchups since the Monarchs joined the AAC, first sweeping April 16-18 home swing that also included Senior Day. The Bearcats won those 16-7 and 17-6 before a 17-11 road victory in 2022.

Kylie Nause's hat trick in the last meeting surpassed then-ODU assistant coach Monica Borzillo for the UC single-season record. Grace Wehland notched a career-high five goals as well. Cincinnati broke a 7-7 halftime tie by outscoring its hosts 6-1 in the third, plus a 21-11 draw control margin on the day.

ODU head coach Theresa Walton was Youngstown State's coach the previous two years, which also marked the program's first two seasons, and Cincinnati attacker Lauren Ottensmeyer started 10 contests while scoring 45 goals for the Penguins over that time.

MLKVY STANDS ALONE
Mlkvy's three draw controls at JMU broke the tie with her sister, Sam, for the school single-season record. The senior has 100 to lead the AAC and rank 20th nationally with 6.25 per game. The sisters were teammates from 2020-21, and Dani is seeking her second-straight First-Team All-AAC honor. She has three games with double-figure draw controls this season, with a career-high 14 coming at Ohio State. The others were against Gardner-Webb and Robert Morris.

CALLAGHAN LEADING ALL FRESHMEN
Callaghan has 50 goals on the season to lead all rookies nationally. Behind her is Brigid Duffy (Army, 47), Bella Fisher (St. Francis PA, 43) and Madison Taylor (Northwestern, 38). Despite not scoring at James Madison, she matched a career-high three assists to give her five the last two outings.

NOTABLE JUMPS FROM LAST YEAR
Cincinnati has seen a 5.2 percent increase in its shot percentage, ranking fourth in the AAC at 42.1. Its goals-against-average has also gone from 14.06 to 11.41. Ashley Lapp, the league's Goalkeeper of the Week on April 3, boasts an 11.23 GAA that ranks second in school history (behind Meg Gulmi's 10.00 in 2016).
