TicketsCINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati redshirt sophomore Kerrington Cross claimed a spot on the American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll on Monday.
The utility player batted .562 (9-for-16) in four starts last week. He totaled six RBI, nine runs scored, four multi-hit games and four extra-base hits. He finished with a .632 on-base percentage and .938 slugging percentage. This is the first weekly honor of Cross' career.
Against Indiana on Wednesday, he went 3-for-5 with a career-high five RBI to go along with two doubles and one run scored. He tied his career highs in hits (3) and doubles (2).
Cross batted .545 (6-for-11) against Tulane as UC claimed the series with two wins over the Green Wave this past weekend. He finished 2-for-5 with a home run and three runs scored on Friday. He went 2-for-3 with three runs scored, a walk and a stolen base in the series finale on Sunday.
Cross and the Bearcats return to the diamond this weekend for a three-game series against South Florida, beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m. in Tampa, Fla.
