PHILADELPHIA— Graduate student Nyile Facey and senior Fred Moudani each broke the University of Cincinnati program records as a select group of student-athletes competed at the Penn Relays inside Franklin Field over the weekend.

Facey set the tone for the meet for the Bearcats as she broke the UC 400-meter hurdles record with a time of 58.97 seconds on the opening day of the meet. The Tampa, Fla., native broke former Bearcat Javette Lee's record of 59.13, which was set in 2016.

Facey placed ninth overall in the event and her time would currently qualifier her for the NCAA East Preliminary Round.

Once again, Moudani broke his own UC outdoor shot put record with a throw of 20.03m/65'8.75". This is the third time this season that he has accomplished the feat as he bested his previous best by almost a full meter (19.35m 63' 6"). Moudani placed third overall in the event.

The Savigny-Le-Temple, France native's throw is currently a nationally ranked top-10 mark and inside the top five in the NCAA East Region.

In the women's javelin, junior Leonie Troeger took home the Bearcats' only individual event win of the weekend. Troeger won the event with a throw of 53.14m/174'4", just 11 inches behind her school record mark. This marks her second event win of the season.

Graduate student Milo Greder turned in another stellar performance on the track in the men's 5,000m run. Greder recorded the third-fastest 5,000-meter run in school history with a time of 13:50.67.

The Omaha, Neb., native joins former Bearcats Eric Finan and Aaron Bienefeld as the only Bearcats to record sub-14-minute marks in program history. Greder also placed sixth overall in the event.

Both sophomore Naquille Harris and the men's 4x400m relay team advanced out the preliminary rounds in their events. Harris placed third in the men's 100m dash with a time of 10.51 seconds.

The men's 4x400m relay team of freshman Camden Beatty, graduate students Keco Morrison, William Roberts and sophomore Dominique Hall finished sixth overall with a time of 3:12.44.
