Ford in First After First Round; Second Round Suspended

WEST POINT, Miss. -- Freshman Ryan Ford carded a school-record, 8-under 64 in the first round, and he is still in second midway through the second round as darkness prevailed late Monday at the Mossy Oak Collegiate.

The initial action was delayed till 10 a.m. CT due to course conditions. The teams will resume play in the morning before starting the third and final round.

Ford's mark is the lowest since Clay Amlung also had a 64 at the Colleton River Collegiate on March 8, 2022.

Each of the top-nine teams are ranked in the top-50. Cincinnati is fifth while sitting 20-under. The Bearcats have a tourney-best three eagles, with Ford having two and Sam Jean having one. Jean is currently ninth and had five-straight birdies before play was called.
