The University of Cincinnati men's and women's track and field teams are heading to Knoxville, Tenn., to compete in the Tennessee Invitational this weekend.

CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati men's and women's track and field teams are heading to Knoxville, Tenn., to compete in the Tennessee Invitational this weekend.

"This is a big weekend for us," head coach Susan Seaton said. "We will get to test ourselves against some top-notch competition and see where we stand  at this point in the season. Coming off a good home meet weekend, we are bringing a lot of energy and motivation to the Tennessee Invite and expect big marks and fast times."

DATE AND TIMES
The Tennessee Invite is hosted by the University of Tennessee and will take place on April 6-8, 2023, at Tom Black Track. Thursday will feature only the men's and women's hammer throw beginning at 5 p.m. Friday's and Saturday's events will begin at 10 a.m., each day. A full schedule of events and start times can be found here.  
 
RESULTS
The meet will be timed by AdkinsTrack and fans can follow along with the action via live results found here. Final results from each day will be published on the Gobearcats.com track and field webpage.

USTFCCCA TEAM RANKINGS
In the latest USTFCCCA national rankings, the UC women's team is ranked ninth in the Great Lakes region. The men's team currently holds the 10th spot in the Great Lakes Region.  
 
In the season's first installment of the USTFCCCA event squad rankings, the UC women's high jump squads boast a top-10 ranking. The squad ranks ninth with a combined height of 6.70m/21'11.75" and is led by sophomore Annika Kinley with her mark of 1.76m/5'10".
 
NCAA INDIVIDUAL RANKINGS
Senior Rylee Penn is currently the highest-ranked Bearcat in the NCAA. Her Cincinnati 1,500-meter record time of 4:10.13 is ranked second in the nation and leads the American Athletic Conference by a full 12 seconds.
 
Sophomore Annika Kinley is tied for 17th in the NCAA with her high jump mark of 1.78m / 5'-10" and ranks third in the NCAA East Region. Her mark also currently leads the AAC.
 
Sprinters graduate student Keco Morrison and sophomore Naquille Harris each currently have times ranked inside the top-25 in the NCAA East Region, respectively. Morrison's 400-meter time of 46.85 is 24th in the region and second in the AAC, while Harris's time of 10.35 in the 100-meter dash ranks 25th in the region and 4th in the AAC.
 
Junior Giovanni Gutierrez's shot put throw of 18.05m/59'-2.75" holds a ranking of 14th in the NCAA East Region and leads the AAC.
