CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati baseball team heads to Memphis for its first American Athletic Conference road series, beginning Thursday with the first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m. ET at FedExPark Avron Fogelman Field in Memphis, Tenn.

Last time out, the Bearcats (12-18, 1-2 AAC) fell to Wright State, 7-6, on Tuesday in the first round of the Joe Nuxhall Classic. UC will now face Miami (OH) in the second leg of the classic on Tuesday, April 11 at UC Baseball Stadium.
 
Junior Cole Harting surpassed 100 career RBI with a two-run walk-off single in Cincinnati's 9-8 comeback victory over Wichita State on Sunday. The Bearcats overcame a seven-run deficit and scored eight unanswered runs over the final four innings. It marked the Bearcats' largest comeback win since April 1, 2014 when UC overcame a seven-run deficit to defeat Miami (OH), 8-7. Ian Happ hit a walk-off two-run homer while current member of the UC coaching staff Austin Woodby earned the win on the mound. 
 
Redshirt junior first baseman Ryan Nicholson has a .300 average (33-for-110) with six home runs, 18 RBI and 19 runs scored in 28 starts. He leads the club in hits (33), home runs (6), doubles (8) and multi-hit games (10). He has 92 RBI and 91 runs scored in his career. 
 
Freshman Landyn Vidourek has a .292 average (26-for-89) in 23 starts and is first on the team in runs scored (22) and walks (18). He is batting .457 in a lead-off spot. 

On the mound, redshirt junior Chase Hopewell leads the staff in ERA (3.78, min. 1 IP/G), innings pitched (33.1) and strikeouts (27). 

Senior reliever Mitch White has been great for the Bearcats out of the bullpen, pitching to a 2.63 ERA in 11 appearances. He recorded his 100th career strikeout in the series opener against Wichita State and earned his first win of the season in the series finale. 
 
Cincinnati and Memphis have met 119 times in program history, with the Tigers leading the all-time series 68-51. Last season, Memphis took two of three from the Bearcats in a series on May 13-15, 2022 in Cincinnati.
 
// SCOUTING MEMPHIS
Memphis (16-14, 1-2 AAC) fell to Tulane in its conference-opening series last weekend. The Tigers won the middle game, 3-1, but fell in the opener, 5-2, and finale, 6-5 (11). Memphis recently dropped a midweek contest to reigning NCAA champions Ole Miss, 7-2, on Tuesday in Memphis, Tenn.  
 
The Tigers are batting .261 as a team and hold a 4.99 staff ERA, backed by a .974 fielding percentage. Senior Anthony Hansen is batting .336 (37-for-110) in 28 starts and leads the team in home runs (9), runs scored (23) and walks (21).
