Hallinan Named to CSC Academic All-District® Team

University of Cincinnati graduate student Katie Hallinan was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.

CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati graduate student Katie Hallinan was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team, the organization announced on Tuesday. 
 
The 2023 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. This is the first recognition from College Sports Communicators for Hallinan. 
 
Hallinan owned a team-best 74.42 stroke average in 33 rounds as a graduate student. She finished 25th or better in 10-of-11 events, including her final seven competitions, which included four top-10 finishes. She tied her career-low score of 213 at the Texas State Invitational where she finished runner-up at the event. 
 
She totaled 19 top-25 finishes and 10 top-10 marks during her time as a Bearcat. 
 
The Loveland, Ohio product holds a 3.917 combined GPA and is a public health major. She earned her bachelor's degree in biology – biomedical in spring 2022. She is a WGCA All-American Scholar as well as an AAC All-Academic honoree. 
 
To be considered, one must accumulate a cumulative GPA of 3.50 with at least a sophomore athletic standing, while being a starter or key reserve for their respective team.
 
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on June 22.
