TicketsCINCINNATI -- Cincinnati fifth-year senior golfer Sam Jean earned CSC Academic All-District honors this week, beginning his pursuit of a second-straight All-America nod.
Jean graduated in May with a 3.96 GPA in mechanical engineering, fulfilling a prominent career on and off the course. His 69.77 stroke average this season, as well as his career 72.26, marked school records in each. He finished ninth at the Las Vegas Regional, the highest of any Bearcat at that stage all-time, which was his second NCAA appearance as well.
Jean, a native of Greenwood, Ind., had five top-10 finishes this season, including the Bearcat Invitational title which was the second of his career. He helped UC to its first team NCAA bid in program history as well.
