CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team will begin a European tour to Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia and Italy from May 30-June 10.
The team will train and play local teams in each country along with sightseeing and experiencing the cultures of each location.
"This foreign trip has been a few years in the making and we're very excited it's finally here," said head coach Molly Alvey. "The training time is extremely valuable in preparing our team for the inaugural Big 12 season this fall. It allows our incoming freshmen and transfers additional time to acclimate and learn our system. It also gives us the opportunity to grow as a team, play some elite competition and explore new countries and cultures. I am very thankful for all of those that helped support making this opportunity a reality for us."
Cincinnati is slate to play six matches:
June 1: Budapest, Hungary
June 3: Maribor, Slovenia
June 4: Maribor, Slovenia
June 6: Pula, Croatia
June 8: Milan, Italy
June 9: Milan, Italy
