CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati men's golf graduate Sam Jean added to his lengthy resume this weekend with PING All-Midwest Region honors, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
This is Jean's third-straight season earning this award. He is also a three-time All-AAC performer, in addition to a CSC Academic All-District honoree in his pursuit of a second-straight All-America nod. His 69.77 stroke average this season, as well as his career 72.26, marked school records in each. He finished ninth at the Las Vegas Regional, the highest of any Bearcat at that stage all-time, which was his second NCAA appearance as well.
Jean, a native of Greenwood, Ind., had five top-10 finishes this season, including the Bearcat Invitational title which was the second of his career. He helped UC to its first team NCAA bid in program history as well.
