BLOOMINGTON, Ind.— The University of Cincinnati men's and women's track and field team recorded seven podium finishes in its regular season finale the Billy Hayes Invitational in Bloomington, Ind., on Friday.
A select group of Bearcats made the trip to Indiana to compete one final time before post-season action begins next week.
The 4x100-meter relay team of freshman Brandon Johnson, sophomore Naquille Harris, junior Brandon Bonsu, and senior LaCarr Trent recorded a season-best time of 40.14 seconds to place second overall. Their time is the third fastest time in program history and is currently the second fastest time in The American.
Freshman Spirit Morgan had a big day in the women's high jump, clearing an outdoor personal best of 1.75m/5'8.75" to place second overall. Her mark is the eighth-best bar clearance height in program history.
Sophomore Naquille Harris's speed was on full display Friday night as he won the men's 100-meter dash with a time of 10.29. His time is a new personal best and is the second-fastest time in program history.
Pole vaulting senior Austin Goolsby had the best performance of his season, clearing a bar height of 5.14m/16'10.25" and placing fifth overall in the event. His mark is currently inside the top 30 in the NCAA East Region and would qualify him for the NCAA East Preliminary Round.
Freshman Jayda Bushay placed first in the women's 400-meter dash. Bushay crossed the finish line with a time of 54.20, the eighth-fastest time in program history. This marks her fourth event win of the season.

The Bearcats will head to Tampa, Fla., to compete in the 2023 American Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The meet will begin Friday, May 12, and conclude on Sunday, May 14.
