CINCINNATI— University of Cincinnati track and field student-athlete sophomore Dominique Hall will head to Espoo, Finland to compete in the 2023 European Athletics U23 Championships this week.
The European Athletics U23 Championships will run from July 13-16 and will be held inside Leppävaara Stadium. A complete schedule of the meet can be found here. Hall will be representing Austria in the men's decathlon beginning on Saturday, July 15.

At the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships Hall earned his first conference title after scoring a meet-record 7,498 points in the men's decathlon. His score is the third most points scored by a Bearcat in the decathlon. He joins former Bearcats Alex Bloom and Cannon Riddle as the only Bearcats to claim the AAC decathlon titles.
The Alabaster, Ala., native finished inside the top-three seven of the 10 events and place no lower than fourth. Hall won the 400-meter dash by breaking the meet record with a time of 47.86. He placed second in the men's long jump (7.07m/23'2.5"), 110-meter hurdles (14.71), 1500-meter (4:39.01) and discus (40.21). He also placed third in both the 100m dash (10.92) and high jump (1.89m/6'2.25").
