CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team has received the United States Marine Corps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, the organization announced on Thursday.
The Bearcats received the honor for the ninth consecutive year after compiling a 3.576 GPA during the 2022-23 academic year.
The award, initiated in the 1992–93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that display excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team GPA. The Bearcats are one of 1,333 programs that were honored this year nationally, including 201 NCAA Division I women's teams.
