CINCINNATI -- The Cincinnati men's golf program has released its 2023-24 schedule for its inaugural Big 12 season.
"This year's schedule will provide some great challenges for this team," head coach Doug Martin said. "Our goal each year is to play a top-50 schedule that prepares us for the postseason. We have added four new events to the schedule, with three in the fall and one in the spring. The highlighted change will be the Big 12 match play."
UC fans can also circle the Bearcat Invitational at Coldstream Country Club, Sept. 18-19, as the Bearcats look to defend their title from last year. It is the third event this fall, following the Marquette Intercollegiate (Sept. 3-5) and the Visit Knoxville Collegiate (Sept. 8-10).
Cincinnati then heads to Houston for the Big 12 Match Play event, Oct. 9-11, before concluding the fall with the familiar Quail Valley Invitational in Vero Beach, Fla.
The first two spring tournaments are familiar spots in the Colleton River Collegiate and Johnnie-O in Bluffton, S.C., and Sea Island, Ga., respectively. Next up is a return to the Space City with the All-American Intercollegiate at the Golf Club of Houston.
Cincinnati closes its regular season with two more events it has seen before: the Mason Rudolph Championship outside of Nashville and Mossy Oak Collegiate near Mississippi State.
UC's first foray into the Big 12 Championships is April 22-24 in Trinity, Texas.
Martin is entering his 15th season at the helm following AAC Coach of the Year honors this spring. The Bearcats return four of their top five performers from their NCAA Regional squad as well.
