CINCINNATI— The University of Cincinnati women's soccer program's preparation for the 2023 season continues as the team heads to Huntington, W. Va., to face Marshall in its first exhibition match of the season.
"Overall, this game is about where we currently are and what areas we need to focus on moving forward," Head Coach Erica Demers said. "I am really excited for our team to play against our first opponent this season."
The match will kick off at 6 p.m. on Wednesday inside Joan C. Edwards Stadium. As an exhibition, no score or stats will be recorded from the match.
The Bearcats will have one more exhibition match against Northern Kentucky on Sunday, Aug. 13, before opening the 2023 season against Michigan State on Aug. 17 in East Lansing, Mich.
Cincinnati's home opener will be on Thursday, Aug. 24 as the team will welcome Bowling Green to Getter Stadium.
