// THE MATCH UP
The match will be the seventh meeting between the two programs. The Bearcats lead the overall series 4-2-0 and lead Michigan 2-1 when the match is played in Ann Arbor, Mich. The last time the teams squared off against each other was in 2021 when the Bearcats fell to the Wolverines a 2-1 inside Gettler Stadium. The last the Bearcats made the trip to Ann Arbor was in 2007 when UC fell to U-M 3-0.

Fun Facts: Cincinnati and Michigan were conference opponents for three seasons (1980-83) in the Midwest Inter-College Women's Soccer League before Cincinnati left to become independent. The Bearcats are still looking for their first win against a Michigan-based school this season. The team is 0-1-1 after drawing against Central Michigan and falling to Michigan State in the season opener.

// LAST TIME OUT
The Bearcats match against Central Michigan ended in a 1-1 draw to close out a two-game homestand. After trailing 1-0 at the half despite multiple good looks, Cincinnati came back onto the pitch with purpose after the break as sophomore midfielder/forward Megan Smith sent a laser to the back of the net in the 46th minute for the equalizer. The tally marked her sixth career goal and her second of the season.

The Springfield, Ohio native has now scored in back-to-back games for the first time in her career. She notched the game-winning goal against Bowling Green on Aug. 24.

// SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
Last week, Michigan faced No.5 Virginia on the road and escaped with a 0-0 draw. The Wolverines followed that performance with a 1-0 home victory against Boston College on Sunday. Freshman Gabrielle Prych leads the Wolverines in both shots (6) and goals (2) and scored the game-winning goal against the Eagles. Michigan is led by Jennifer Klein, who is in her sixth season at the helm of the Wolverines with a record of 50-21-6 and boasts a career mark of 76-49-17 over eight seasons as a head coach.

// RANKING REXFORD
Senior goalkeeper Anna Rexford currently ranks second in the Big 12 in both saves per game (4.5) and total saves (18) through the first four games of the season.
