CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati women's basketball announced on Tuesday the addition of graduate transfer Nia Clark ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Clark is immediately eligible for competition due to her graduate transfer status.

The Indianapolis, Ind. native appeared in 27 games with 13 starts at Marquette in 2022-23. She helped lead the Golden Eagles to a 21-10 record that featured the two highest-ranked wins in program history, defeating No. 3 Texas and No. 4 UConn, and an appearance in the Big East Tournament Semifinals and NCAA First Round.

Prior to Marquette, Clark saw action in 30 games with 13 starts and averaged 11.6 points, 2.4 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 29.5 minutes per game over two seasons at Xavier from 2020-21. She transferred to Xavier for the 2019-20 season, but had to sit out her first season with the program due to NCAA transfer rules.

Clark served as a team captain and led the Musketeers in scoring and minutes per game in 2021-22. She scored 10-plus points 18 times over her two seasons and posted a career-high 26 points versus Valparaiso on Nov. 21, 2021. Clark also recorded 10 steals in her Xavier debut at Detroit Mercy, the second most in single-game in program history.

Clark played for now Marquette head coach Megan Duffy while in her freshman season at Miami (OH) in 2018-19. She appeared in nine games with six starts and averaged 10.6 points and 2.7 rebounds per game for the RedHawks before suffering a season-ending injury.
