TicketsCINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team closed out two days full of action at the Flyer Invitational on Saturday.
Cincinnati traveled four student-athletes and played a hidden dual format event with three other nearby programs – Xavier, Northern Kentucky and host Dayton. Overall, the Bearcats posted seven singles victories and four more wins in doubles action over the two-day invitational.
Freshman Sakurako Watanabe swept her three singles matchups with her first two victories coming in straight sets. Freshman Morgan Pyrz and sophomore Isabel Pacheco also collected a pair of singles wins.
The Bearcats employed different doubles combinations throughout the event to total their four doubles wins.
Cincinnati will be back on the road at the Hoosier Classic from Sept. 30-Oct. 1.
