The University of Cincinnati volleyball team dropped its second match against UCF on Friday night inside Fifth Third Arena.

CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team dropped its second match against UCF on Friday night inside Fifth Third Arena. 

The Bearcats were swept by the Knights to move to 7-5, 0-2 on the season. 

Sophomore Carly Glendinning totaled six kills at a .364 hitting percentage while freshman Zeta Washington registered five kills and five blocks. 

UCF finished the match with nine aces compared to UC's two. The Knights also outhit the Bearcats, .235 to .133. 

// HOW IT HAPPENED 
SET 1 | UCF took the first set, 25-13, behind a .308 hitting percentage. The Bearcats struggled offensively, hitting just .043. 

SET 2 | UCF put down back-to-back kills to force a Cincinnati timeout (10-7). The Bearcats later responded with a 4-0 run to trail by two, 18-16. The Knights ended the frame on a 5-1 scoring run to win the set, 25-18. 

SET 3 | The Knights jumped out to a 10-point advantage. The Bearcats responded with four straight points before UCF rattled off another run. Cincinnati fought off four set points to pull within two, but UCF held on to win the stanza, 25-22.
