CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team hits the road for a single match at Kansas State on Saturday night in Manhattan, Kan. First serve is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET inside Morgan Family Arena. 
 
Cincinnati's match will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+ and can be followed at StatBroadcast.
 
// SERIES HISTORY
This will be the first meeting between the two teams in program history.
 
The Bearcats hold a 39-38 record against Big 12 opponents. Cincinnati will face four Big 12 opponents for the first time this season: Kansas State, Kansas, Texas Tech and TCU.
 
// LAST TIME OUT
Cincinnati (7-5, 0-2 Big 12) dropped a two-match series to UCF to open Big 12 play. The Bearcats fell to the Knights by scores of 3-1 and 3-0.
 
Graduate student Carly Skrabak averaged 4.71 digs per set last weekend. She recorded 24 digs versus UCF on Sept. 21 – 11 more than any other player on the court.
 
Cincinnati received valuable contributions from middle blocker duo Ligia Williams and Zeta Washington. Williams averaged 2.57 kills and 1.14 blocks per set and posted a career-high 14 kills versus the Knights on Sept. 21. Washington averaged 1.43 blocks per set to go along with 2.14 kills per set at a .293 hitting percentage.
 
// DIGGIN' THE DEFENSE
Five Bearcats are averaging more than 2.00 digs per set, with Skrabak boasting a team-best 4.20 average.
 
The Bearcats have out-dug their opponents in nine of 12 matches this season. UC ranks second in the Big 12 and 42nd nationally in digs per set (15.73). UC owned a 14.43 to 13.86 advantage in digs per set against UCF last weekend.
 
Cincinnati posted a season-high 91 digs against South Carolina on Sept. 9. It marked the most digs in a match since October 15, 2021 when the Bearcats had 93 against Tulsa.
 
// STEADY SKRABAK
Graduate student Carly Skrabak is averaging 4.20 digs per set as the team's starting libero – good for third in the Big 12. She has led the team in digs in all but one match this season. She's currently 16th among active career DI leaders with 1,676 career digs. She is 324 digs away from 2,000 in her career.
 
// THIS IS VOLLEYBALL COUNTRY
Five Big 12 schools are ranked in the AVCA/Taraflex Division I Coaches Poll. BYU is ranked No. 9, Texas is No. 10, Baylor is No. 18, Kansas is No. 19, and Houston is No. 20. Iowa State and UCF received votes.
 
The NCAA DI Women's Volleyball Committee announced its Top 10 Rankings for results through Sept. 23. BYU was at No. 8 while Texas was No. 9. The Big 12 is one of three leagues with multiple teams in the rankings.
 
Entering Week 6, eight Big 12 schools rank inside the top 40 of the RPI rankings, tied for the most of any league. BYU is No. 10, Texas is No. 12, Kansas is No. 27, Baylor is No. 28, UCF is No. 29, Iowa State is No. 33, TCU is No. 35 and Houston is No. 36.
