CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's golf team opens the 2023-24 season at home with the Jennifer Duke Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
 
The action will take place at the par-70, 5,824-yard Losantiville Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio. Live scoring will be available at BirdieFire. 
 
Cincinnati will have two teams compete in the two-day tournament. The Bearcats' A lineup features Paola Rosario, Sadie Pan, Mar García Jiménez, Winnie Chiang and Brooke Patterson. Rosario returns as the top performer from a season ago, boasting a 77.06 stroke average that included three top-25 finishes.
 
UC's B lineup includes Varnika Achanta, Elizabeth Eberle, Maggie Huett, Kenna Jenkinson and Lauren Pleiman. Emma Grace Messenger will compete as an individual.
 
The field features Western Kentucky, Xavier, Akron, FIU, Arkansas State, Ohio, Marshall, Dayton and Western Michigan.

This season marks the first year that Cincinnati will compete in the Big 12. The Bearcats will enter the new year under the guidance of first year head coach Aimee Ponte. Ponte, who led the University of the Incarnate Word to back-to-back second-place Southland Conference Championship (SLC) finishes, arrives in Clifton following a two-year stint as the head women's golf coach of the Cardinals.

Next, the Bearcats will travel to a pair of tournaments hosted by Big 12 foes, beginning with Texas Tech's Red Raider Invitational on Sept. 25-26. They will also compete in Kansas State's Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational on Oct. 2-3.
