Senior Paola Rosario carded a two-under, season-low 70 in the first round. She sits tied for ninth with 36 holes to go. Her day was highlighted by an eagle on hole 11.
Senior Sadie Pan also posted a new season low for a round, carding a one-over 73. She birdied two holes to be tied for 25th.
Brooke Patterson (T43rd), Mar Garcia Jimenez (T64th) and Winnie Chiang (T72nd) follow in order.
The Bearcats sit ninth as a team with an opening-round score of 299.
