CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati recorded 11 event wins at the end of day one of the West Virginia dual.
Divers junior Will Claus (329.18) and sophomore Preston Landolt (289.35) began the weekend with first and third finishes in the 1-meter dive, respectively.
The Bearcat relays started off hot with victories in both the men's and women's 400-yard medley relays.
The team of Grace Gavin, Joleigh Crye, Sonja Aarsvold and Kaylee Nagel took the women's with a time of 3:44.02. On the men's side, it was the team of Hunter Gubeno, Brogan Robinson, Tommy Eaton and Jon Osa that claimed the top spot, recording a time of 3:17.96.
Sophomore Joleigh Crye had a strong performance in the 100-yard breaststroke recording a time of 1:01.29.
Eaton (49.13) and senior Drew Hawthorne (49.14) claimed top-two finishes in the 100-yard butterfly notching times just 0.01 apart.
