HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The University of Cincinnati women's golf team used a strong final round to place a third overall at The Judson on Tuesday in Hattiesburg, Miss.
The Bearcats posted a season-best team score of 885 in their fall finale. The score is the program's lowest team score since 2018 when the Bearcats posted a program-record 876. Cincinnati registered a season-low 289 (+1) in the third and final round. It was best round score of the day.
UC had two top-five individual finishers in Paola Rosario and Winnie Chiang.
Rosario finished runner up at the event, carding a one-under 215. She completes her fall season with three top-5 individual finishes and the program scoring record of 209 – set at the Pat Bradley Invitational (Oct. 14-16).
Chiang saw a five-spot improvement from the opening day to record her first top-10 finish of the season. She posted a season-low, one-under 71 in the first round. Mar García Jiménez provided a steady performance on the day with an even-par, season-low 72 in the final round.
Overall, Rosario (2nd), Chiang (5th) and García Jiménez (19th) notched season bests in finishes.
The Bearcats wrapped up a successful fall campaign under first year head coach Aimee Ponte. They will now turn their attention to the spring 2024 campaign.
