CINCINNATI— The University of Cincinnati women's soccer team tied Oklahoma, 0-0, on Sunday inside Gettler Stadium.

Cincinnati moved to 3-6-5 (2-2-3) on the year, while Oklahoma heads back home with a record of 6-7-2 (2-3-2). The Bearcats' five draws this season are tied for the second-most in a single season in program history.

It was a physical match for the entire 90 minutes as both teams had more fouls than shots. Cincinnati ended the day with 12 fouls to Oklahoma's nine, but the Sooners drew two yellow cards to the Bearcats' one.

Both teams were focused on limiting opportunities. Cincinnati finished the match leading in shots, 9-8.

The Bearcats turned on the offensive pressure, generating seven shots in the second half and had multiple good opportunities from inside the box but could not find the back of the net.

Senior goalkeeper Anna Rexford only faced one shot on the goal as she claimed her fourth clean sheet of the season and her 15th career shutout, the seventh most in program history.

This also marks the first time this season that Rexford and the Cincinnati backline recorded back-to-back shutouts. The last time the team did not allow a goal in back-to-back games was in late October of last year.

The Bearcats had five players play the full 90 in Sunday's match. Graduate student defender Ashley Barron played the full 90 for the sixth-straight game and has achieved the feat in all but two of the teams' 14 matches this season.

Barron also started her 76th career match, the 10th most in program history. Barron has started all but one of her 77 career caps and has started 72 straight matches dating back to 2019.
