FORT WORTH, Texas – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team fell to TCU in straight sets on Saturday night in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Bearcats (9-6, 2-3 Big 12) split the two-match series with the Horned Frogs (11-6, 4-2 Big 12). Cincinnati earned a five-set victory over TCU on Friday night.
Freshman middle blocker Zeta Washington posted a team-high nine kills. She averaged 3.50 kills per set at a .302 hitting percentage in two matches against TCU.
The Bearcats struggled offensively, hitting a season-low .021 (26-24-94). TCU hit .362 (42-8-94) and totaled nine blocks.

SET 1 | Cincinnati owned a 7-5 advantage after a Katelyn Lefler block. TCU responded with an 8-1 run to lead by five (13-8). The Bearcats pulled within three after an ace from Washington. UC scored the next point, but the call was overturned in favor of TCU (19-15). The Horned Frogs carried the momentum to win the opening set, 25-19. Elissa Alcantara had four kills at a .429 clip in the frame.
SET 2 | Washington accounted for three of UC's first four points. The Horned Frogs then went on a 5-0 run to lead by seven (12-5). The Bearcats pulled within four (15-11) but would not get any closer for the remainder of the set, falling 25-14.
SET 3 | TCU scored the first four points of the third set. The Horned Frogs led by as many as eight until back-to-back errors brought UC within five (20-15). TCU scored the final five points to win the set, 25-15. Ligia Williams and Washington each recorded four kills as UC hit -.031 in the stanza (8-9-32).
