CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati athletics department has partnered with Allegiant Air as the title sponsor of the men's basketball team's Friday and Sunday games in Fifth Third Arena.

The Bearcats (1-0) first host Detroit Mercy at 7 p.m. Friday, followed by Eastern Washington at 12 p.m. Sunday. The multi-team event, hosted by Walton Sports and Entertainment, takes the place of what normally would be a team trip elsewhere, like Kansas City in 2021 and Maui in 2022.

For clarification, these two games are not part of this season's 17-game, Big 12 season-ticket package, and rather a bonus opportunity for more to sit in and fill the lower bowl for as low as $17.50 per seat. The model follows feedback from the raucous NIT win over Virginia Tech last March, which had similarly low prices and offered a premium seat opportunity.

Courtside tickets, which were offered for $42.50 each, are sold out for the weekend. There is limited Champions Club availability for $35, which is inclusive of food and non-alcoholic beverages.

Cincinnati defeated Detroit Mercy, 72-54, last season at home. Sunday will be the first meeting between the Bearcats and EWU, which won the Big Sky title after starting the 2022-23 league season 16-0.
