CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati women's basketball head coach Katrina Merriweather announced that Chloe Mann has signed a national letter of intent to join the Bearcats in 2024-25.
Mann, a 5-foot-8 point guard, stars for Duncanville High School, where she is entering her senior season. She is a relentless defender, three-level scorer and dynamic playmaker.
"Chloe is and will always be special as our first and only 2024 signee," said Merriweather. "She believes in our vision and exemplifies the toughness, defensive tenacity and skill set it takes to compete in the Big XII. Chloe's athleticism, relentless work ethic and passion for the game will allow her to impact our team immediately. We are thankful for the trust of her family and support system. We are thrilled to have them as a part of our Bearcat Family and Sisterhood."
The Fort Worth, Texas native is coming off a standout junior season for Duncanville, where she suited up against some of the top talent across in the country.
In 2022-23, she averaged 11 points, six assists, five rebounds and two steals per game for the nationally top-25 program. She was named MVP of the She Got Game Classic and All-Tournament of the prestigious Sandra Meadows Classic. She guided her team to a district championship while earning First Team All-District accolades.
Prior to Duncanville, Mann played two seasons for Boswell High School (2020-22) where she collected All-District and -Region honors. She was also named Newcomer of the Year in 2020-21.
In addition to her success at the high-school level, she has also played an instrumental role with AAU programs Sky Dig Elite – the only Puma sponsored girl's AAU team – and PlayerFirst.
Mann chose Cincinnati over offers from Memphis, Mississippi State, North Texas, UT Arlington, UTSA, Colorado State, South Alabama, Stony Brook, Seton Hall, UCF, La Tech and Texas Southern.
"This staff has been in my life like family for three years," said Mann. "I trust that they will make me great."
A multi-sport athlete, Mann also competes in track and field and cross country. She is a four-time district champion and three-time regional qualifier.
Mann is the daughter of Chay and Victor Mann, both of whom competed collegiately for Kansas State. She has two brothers, Chase and Deuce, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
