AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team dropped a road match to No. 3-ranked Texas on Saturday afternoon in Austin.
The Bearcats (11-13, 4-10 Big 12), facing their fourth ranked opponent in a row, could not overcome an efficient Longhorns team. Texas outhit Cincinnati, .476 to .062, in the sweep.
Sophomore Carly Glendinning was a bright spot, finishing with six kills at a .263 clip. She did not commit an attacking error until late in the third set.
Graduate student libero Carly Skrabak registered a team-high 10 digs – her 19th double-digit dig performance of the season.

SET 1 | Texas scored the first five points of the match to force a UC timeout. The Bearcats trailed by seven as they used their second timeout (14-7). The Longhorns hit .538 to take the opening set, 25-13.
SET 2 | The Longhorns jumped out to a 7-4 advantage. The Bearcats pulled within three after a Glendinning kill (13-10). Ligia Williams put down a kill (17-13) before Texas rattled off seven straight points to run away with the set, 25-14. Zeta Washington had four kills in the frame for the Bearcats.
SET 3 | Texas got off to a 7-2 start. Cincinnati scored the next two points via a Washington kill and Glendinning ace. Texas then used a pair of large scoring runs to take the final set, 25-13. Glendinning recorded a pair of aces in the stanza.
