CINCINNATI— The University of Cincinnati volleyball team was swept by No. 15-ranked Kansas on Wednesday in its final home match of the year inside Fifth Third Arena.
The Bearcats (12-14, 5-11) took both set one and set three down to the wire, but could never gain the advantage as late runs for the Jayhawks proved too much in the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
Sophomore outside hitter Carly Glendinning registered her eighth double-digit kill performance during Big 12 play. She recorded a team-high 10 kills with three attacking errors on 19 attempts.
Redshirt sophomore Ligia Williams (nine) and junior Abby Walker (seven) combined for 16 kills on offense, while graduate student Carly Skrabak (11) and freshman Kayla Hostetler (13) totaled 24 digs on defense.
Junior Setter Katelyn Lefler had a team-high 34 assists, and she is now only 32 away from 2,000 for her career.
The Kansas duo of Reagan Cooper and Ayah Elnady led all attackers with 15 kills.
