CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team remains at home with a Wednesday night game against Howard. Tip-off between the Bearcats and Bison is scheduled for 6 p.m. inside Fifth Third Arena.

- Cincinnati earned its third straight victory on Sunday, defeating rival Xavier, 69-47, in the 45th Women's Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout. It was UC's highest attended Crosstown Shootout in over a decade with 5,013 fans in attendance.
- Freshman Reagan Jackson led three Bearcats in double figures vs. Xavier, finishing with a game-high 14 points. It marked her fourth straight game in double figures and third time leading the team in scoring.
- Senior Malea Williams recorded 13 points (5-11 FG) to go along with eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal vs. Xavier. With a season-high two blocks on Sunday, Williams moved into seventh all-time at UC in career blocks with 72.
- Head coach Katrina Merriweather improved to 6-0 in the Crosstown Shootout – four as a player (1997-01), one as a graduate assistant (2001-02) and one as head coach.
- Senior Jillian Hayes is averaging nearly a double-double with 11.9 points and 8.6 rebounds and is shooting 52.5% from the field this season. She sits fifth in the Big 12 and 73rd nationally in rebounds per game (8.6). She also ranks 10th in the league in free throw percentage (.800).
- Freshman Reagan Jackson is averaging 13.8 points and 2.0 rebounds over the past four games. She is shooting 40.5% from the field (17-42), 41.2% from 3-pt range (7-17) and 93.3% from the charity stripe (14-15) during the stretch. She ranks fifth in the Big 12 and 74th nationally in free throw percentage (.862).
- Cincinnati has made 179 trips to the free throw line this season, making 131 of its attempts (.732). The Bearcats sit first in the Big 12 and 18th nationally in free throws made per game (16.38). UC is 5-1 when it makes more free throws than its opponent.
- UC ranks 41st in the nation in three-point field goal defense, holding its opponents to 24.8% from behind the arc.
- The Bearcats are 4-0 when they outrebound their opponent. UC sits 35th in the country in offensive rebounds per game (15.2). Cincinnati pulled down a season-high 24 offensive boards vs. Tennessee State (Dec. 1), the most in a single game since the Bearcats had 31 at SEMO on Nov. 11, 2016.
- Cincinnati will play 12 games against 10 programs that advanced to the 2023 NCAA Tournament. The Bearcats played four of those games - Louisville, Toledo, Colorado and NC State - in the first five contests.

- Senior Jillian Hayes is 19 points away from 1,000 in her career. She is looking to become the 30th player in program history to surpass 1,000 career points.
- Hayes currently ranks fourth all-time at UC in career blocks with 107. She is 10 blocks away from a third-place tie with Anita Tersigni (1981-84) with 117.
- Hayes is also chasing top-10 marks in rebounds and free throws made. With 644 career boards, she is 30 away from a 10th-place tie with Joy Roberts (1980-83) with 674. She has made 272 free throws and needs 21 more to crack into UC's all-time top-10 list for the category (293).
- Senior Malea Williams is seventh all-time at UC in blocks with 72 in three seasons with the Bearcats. She is 11 blocks away from a sixth-place tie with Jeanise Randolph (2011-14) with 83.

- Cincinnati and Howard will be meeting for the fifth time in history, with the Bearcats leading the all-time series 3-1.
- The two teams met every year in Cincinnati from 2016-18. The Bearcats won all three meetings.
- The first-ever meeting occurred on Dec. 29, 1994 when Howard defeated UC, 72-70, at the Brigham Young Holiday Classic.
