The University of Cincinnati volleyball team placed four student-athletes on the Academic All-District® Team, announced by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.

CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team placed four student-athletes on the Academic All-District® Team, announced by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
 
Graduate student Carly Skrabak and junior Abby Walker captured All-District honors for the second consecutive year while junior Katelyn Lefler and sophomore Carly Glendinning earned the accolades for the first time in their careers.
 
The 2023 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
 
Skrabak graduated with her master's degree in human resources this December. She recorded 431 digs as the team's starting libero this season. She finished her decorated career with 1,915 digs, 434 assists and 81 service aces. 
 
Walker, UC's Big 12 Student-Athlete of the Month for November, boasts a 4.0 GPA and is majoring in interdisciplinary studies. She played in every match this year, averaging 2.41 kills and 0.72 blocks per set.  
 
Lefler, an interdisciplinary studies major with a 3.86 GPA, dished out 1,011 assists as the team's starting setter. She ranked seventh in the Big 12 in assists per set (9.54).
 
Glendinning is an industrial management major with a 3.81 GPA. She is a member of the Kolodzik Business Scholars Honors Program – a top-notch scholarship program and one of the legacy honors programs in the Lindner College of Business. She averaged 1.96 kills and 1.48 digs per set in 2023. 
 
Honorees must have at least a 3.50 GPA and be a major contributor to their teams on the court.
