CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team takes its five-game winning streak into Thursday's non-conference finale vs. Siena. Tip-off between the Bearcats and Saints is scheduled for 1 p.m. inside Fifth Third Arena.

  • Cincinnati held on in the final minute to defeat Southern Indiana, 58-56, on Sunday afternoon in Evansville, Ind. UC pulled down a season-high 52 rebounds (52-34) which resulted in 24 second-chance points in the win.
  • The Bearcats have won five straight to sit at 7-3 on the year. UC is averaging 71.0 points and 45.2 rebounds and are +16.2 in rebounding margin over the past five games. Defensively, the Bearcats are holding their opponents to 51.6 points and 34.7% shooting – 23.8% from 3-point range – during the stretch.
  • Senior Jillian Hayes turned in her fourth double-double of the season, 17th of her career, with 16 points (5-7 FG, 6-6 FT) and a career-high 16 rebounds at Southern Indiana.
  • Hayes averaged a double-double this past week with 18.0 points and 11.0 rebounds in two wins. She shot 50.0% from the field (11-22) and 93.3% from the free throw line (14-15). Her week was highlighted by scoring her 1,000th career point vs. Howard on Dec. 13.
  • Senior Malea Williams pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds to go along with eight points and two blocks vs. Southern Indiana. She is averaging 12.3 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks and is shooting 45.5% from three-point range (5-11) over the last three games.
  • Hayes is averaging nearly a double-double with 13.1 points and 9.1 rebounds and is shooting 51.8% from the field this season. She sits fifth in the Big 12 and 49th nationally in rebounds per game (9.1). She is also fifth in the league in double-doubles (4).
  • Freshman Reagan Jackson has scored in double figures in five of her last six games played. She's averaging 11.7 points and 2.0 rebounds and has made 10 three-pointers during the stretch.
  • Cincinnati has made 230 trips to the free throw line this season, making 172 of its attempts (.748). The free throw percentage is good for third in the league and 73rd in the country. The Bearcats have two players inside the top-10 in the Big 12 in FT percentage: Jillian Hayes (6th, .840) and Reagan Jackson (8th, .818).
  • The Bearcats sit first in the Big 12 and 14th nationally in free throws made per game (17.20). UC is 7-1 when it makes more free throws than its opponent.
