CINCINNATI— University of Cincinnati sophomore Naquille Harris was named American Athletic Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
"We were so happy to have Naquille join the Bearcat family this year," associate head coach Nadine Faustin-Parker said. "He works hard and gives 102%. We are excited to continue to see what the future holds for him."
The SUNY-Delhi transfer has made an immediate impact in his first season with the program. Harris won the men's 60-meter with a personal-best time of 6.8 seconds at the Alex Wilson Invitational last time out on Feb. 18. The mark is the fifth-best 60-meter in program history and ranks eighth in the conference this season.
This is the first time that Harris has received the honor. He joins seniors Taylor Beard, Rylee Penn, Fred Moudani and sophomore Steven McElroy as the only Bearcats to claim the weekly distinction this season.
