CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati men's and women's track and field teams are splitting squads to compete at both the Penn Relays in Philadelphia and the Clark Wood Invitational in Louisville, Ky.

The Penn Relays, presented by Toyota, is hosted by the University of Pennsylvania and will take place April 27-29 inside Franklin Field. A select group of 15 Cincinnati track and field student-athletes are scheduled to compete in one of the premier track and field meets of the season.

The Clark Wood Invitational is hosted by the University of Louisville and will take place April 28-29 at the University of Cardinal Park. A total of 11 schools are scheduled to compete this weekend — Bellarmine, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, DePaul, Eastern Kentucky, Kent State, Illinois State, Louisville, Milwaukee and Xavier.
On Friday, the meet begins at 11 a.m. with the women's hammer throw. Track events are scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. with the women's 800m. On Saturday, field events begin at 10 a.m. with the women's javelin. Track events are slated to start at 12:05 p.m. with the women's 100m hurdles preliminary rounds. Three Cincinnati track and field program records have fallen this season. Senior Rylee Penn broke the 1500m (4:10.13) and is currently ranked fifth in the nation.
Senior Fred Moudani has broken the UC shot put record (19.35m/63'6") in back-to-back meets and currently ranks 17th in the nation.
Junior Leonie Troeger bested her own javelin school record (53.43m/175'4"), which is the 18th-best throw in the nation.

USTFCCCA TEAM RANKINGS
In the latest USTFCCCA national rankings, the UC women's team is ranked 48th in the nation, fifth in the Great Lakes region and second in the American Athletic Conference. The men's team currently holds the second spot in the AAC and the 12th spot in the Great Lakes Region.
In the latest USTFCCCA event squad rankings, the UC men's shot put squad and women's high jump squad both hold a top-10 ranking. The shot put squad ranks fourth in the nation with a combined distance of 72.55m/238'0" and is led by Moudani with his record mark of 19.35m/63'6".
The women's high jump squad is currently fifth in the nation with a combined height of 6.97m/22' 10.25" and is led by senior Taylor Beard with her mark of 1.84m/6'.05".
