CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati graduate and former men's basketball standout Landers Nolley II signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the New Orleans Pelicans early Friday morning.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum-salary NBA deal that allows the franchise to convert the contract to a two-way contract if that change is made before the start of the regular season.
Nolley, an Atlanta native, was a First-Team All-AAC selection in his lone season at UC, averaging 16.8 ppg (eighth in the league), the most by a Bearcat since Jarron Cumberland in 2018-19, and was the team's second-leading rebounder at 5.8 per game.
He posted career-best numbers in those two categories, as well as minutes (32.1), field-goal percentage (44.7), three-point shooting (41.7), assists (94), steals (36) and blocks (17). All of them were strong improvements from his 2021-22 season at Memphis as well.
That 41.7 percent deep-shooting led the AAC, was 12th nationally and was UC's best on 60-plus makes since Justin Jenifer in 2018-19. His 96 treys ranked fourth all-time, the most since Deonta Vaughn in 2007-08.
