CINCINNATI— The University of Cincinnati track and field program heads to Lincoln, Neb., this weekend to compete in the Frank Sevigne Invite on Feb. 2-3 inside the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
This will mark the program's first-ever appearance at the two-day invitational. On Friday, multi's events will start at 1 p.m. ET, while field and track events will begin at 5 p.m. ET and 7 p.m. ET, respectively.
Saturday's multi's action will commence at 10:30 a.m. ET, followed by running events starting at noon ET, and field events beginning at 1 p.m. ET. The complete schedule of events can be found here.
The Bearcats will be at full strength as 42 athletes (22 women / 20 men) will make the trip to Nebraska. Senior Justin Abrams and freshman Juliette Laracuente-Huebner are scheduled to make their multi's season debuts at the meet.

Bearcats recorded five UC all-time top-10 marks at the Bob Pollock Invitational on Jan. 26-27. Highlighting the weekend was Hannah Jackson's performance in the weight throw.
Her personal best weight throw of 19.53m / 64' 1" not only secured her third place in the competition but also allowed her to join the elite UC weight throw company as she became only the third Bearcat ever to record a mark over 64 feet.

In the latest USTFCCCA regional rankings, the UC women's team is ranked seventh in the region for the second straight week, while UC men moved to 15th in the Great Lakes Region.
In the season's first USTFCCCA event squad rankings, the UC women's high jump squad began the year ranked fifth in the nation. The squad finished last season second overall in the rankings; this year, sophomore Spirit Morgan and junior Annika Kinley lead the group as both hold marks this season ranked inside the top 40 nationally.

Cincinnati will spilt squads next weekend as the majority of the program will head to Nashville, Tenn., for the Music City Challenge, and a small group of distance runners will venture to Boston for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational. This will be the program's final chance to prepare for its first-ever appearance at the Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships on Feb 23-24.
